In recent years, I myself have embarked on a journey to resolve these blocks. The emotional cost I had to bear was balanced by enormous internal and professional satisfaction. I advise everyone to face a challenge that has no end point, as it is a daily challenge.
The Fears
Let's start with the most difficult one. Fear holds you back, prevents you from doing and taking risks. The fear of failure, rejection or appearing different. The English writer Daniel Defoe said that
“the fear of danger is ten thousand times more Phone Number List frightening than actual danger, when it actually presents itself before our eyes; and anxiety is a much more serious torture to endure
Fear comes from instinct, it protects you from putting yourself in danger. When it is motivated, it makes sense and limits you in actions that could harm you. When it is unmotivated it limits you and does not allow you to seize opportunities that could have changed your life.
Wanting to be liked at all costs
There are many who are blocked by the idea of doing something that others may not appreciate. Pleasing everyone is not possible. Those who act with this intent soon discover that failure is just around the corner. Adapting to behaviors that are believed to be useful in obtaining the esteem of others does nothing but undermine your self-esteem and make you ordinary and irrelevant. Taking some risks and declaring what you think certainly exposes you to some criticism, but it gives you enormous doses of self-esteem.
Habit and comfort
Human nature loves to have a place where it feels protected, where it can breathe the harmony of tranquility. Unfortunately, in today's work, this is a big mistake. In this historical moment, those who move fastest and adapt are able to obtain the best results.
This is my Achilles heel. I hate getting out of routine, throwing myself into things I've never done before and having new experiences, such as speaking in public, changing jobs, ways of doing things and investing energy in new projects or new friendships.
I am convinced, and I am working on it, that these three things are the real limit that prevents you from evolving. Three blocking elements that hold you back, that freeze your actions and reduce your ability to take initiative. Let's free ourselves, I'll do it too, before living a life of bitterness and regret.
